Potter's manufacture (pottery) - processing of clay through baking for its transformation into household goods, into building materials, various ornaments and preparation of faience and porcelain products.

On the basic receptions between these three sorts of manufactures there are no essential distinctions; but as unequal grades of clay and separate features of receptions are applied to them, that, consider separately manufacture of a brick, faience.

Process of creation of a pottery begins with visiting places where there lies potter's clay, and its deliveries in a workshop. The basic requirements to potter's clay consist that it was pure, without grain of sand. Therefore all a pottery have high quality.

On Cyprus manufacture of a pottery always was a subject of special attention. Since ancient times the Cyprian pottery went on export.
